TeraCyte
Introduction
The TeraCyte system is a high-throughput Temporal Cytometry platform designed for longitudinal, single-cell analysis of live cells. It combines a custom silicon microchip, which captures individual cells in stable micro-wells. The system integrates automated bright-field and fluorescence time-lapse imaging, allowing continuous monitoring of cellular behavior – such as activation, proliferation, death, differentiation, and cell – cell interactionsover hours to days. This approach provides dynamic insights that are not accessible through traditional endpoint assays or flow cytometry.
A dedicated computational pipeline performs segmentation, tracking, and feature extraction, producing standardized temporal single-cell datasets suitable for downstream quantitative analysis and machine-learning applications.
TeraCyte capabilities include temporal single-cell analysis, continuous live-cell monitoring, tracking of cell line performance, quantitative assessment of drug responses, and in-depth studies of cellular dynamics over time. It supports research in immunology, oncology, stem cell biology, and drug discovery by enabling detailed, scalable characterization of cellular responses.
