Ultrastructural Studies
Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) allows to study the specimen of interest at sub-nanometric resolution. The morphology of microorganisms, cell organelles, some organelle functions, their relationships to one another in normal or pathological state, have been derived from ultrastructural studies using TEM. A wide range of samples can be prepared and observed including tissues, cells, cell organelles, viruses, cell infection assays, bacteria and bacterial interactions, plant tissue, fungi, and many more. We offer sample preparation for TEM including chemical fixation, resin embedding, and ultramicrotomy. We specialize in adapting protocols for different types of samples and the researchers’ needs.
